Business operations are becoming more complex with the passage of time which affords little time for research and innovation. Larger enterprises are rushing towards outperforming the competition which will ultimately require a significant amount of meaningful insights. In addition, consumer behavior is continuously shifting, and understanding that behavior is imperative to decision making. Although there will always be a certain amount of risk when it comes to making business decisions, that risk doesn’t have to be so perilous. However, with the increasing extent of untidy data it becomes difficult to analyze in real-time. Firms desperately need technologies with which they can analyze and predict market trends with a simple click and business intelligence serves this purpose. A Private, Women’s Liberal Arts College Migrates from Oracle Discoverer to MS SSRS in 8 weeks.
Retiring legacy reporting tools
The client is an internationally-recognized, private, women’s liberal arts college located in Massachusetts. As an IT-savvy institute they use Oracle Discoverer for all MIS requirements. After Oracle stopped supporting Discoverer in mid-2017, they sought an optimal migration path to migrate their analytical reports to a more intuitive platform, ultimately selecting Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (MS SSRS) to replace Discoverer. ennVee will be attending this year’s Midwest Higher Education User Group (MIDHEUG) conference from October 12th-13th at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL. This is the first year that we are attending, and we look forward to connecting.
The Midwest Regional User Group (MIDHEUG) is a HEUG online community that includes Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The annual Alliance conference will bring together higher education institutions in the region who use Oracle applications/technology.
We will highlight our current business intelligence initiatives and Oracle Discoverer migrations for colleges and universities across the US. If you’re attending, stop by our booth and pick up some freebies.
